Hello!

 

I'm Elkey, the Human behind The Meow Friend.

Writing this presentation proved to be quite a challenge, with numerous attempts yielding little success.

However, what you've just read stands as the best so far.

 

Let me tell you about my meows:

The first one I got was Stellina, a stunning black cat gifted to me by my eldest sister on my fifth birthday. Stellina was so small and tiny, completely black with only a white dot on her neck.

Despite my family, that always describes her ad skinny and covered in sparse fur, I could only see her as the most exquisite creature in the world. She was, unequivocally, my cat.

Stellina lived a long and joyous life, but eventually, her journey ended, and she went in the stars. Years later, my own journey brought me to Dubai. Significant changes happened in my life, and uncertainty regarding my duration in this new country made me consider that getting a feline companion wasn't the best choice at that moment. Also, because I was living with my sister and she already had Cookie, a big grey longhair fluffy cat.

Then I met my Hubby, and after five years of living together I finally convinced him to get a kitty! We welcomed Bellatrix (aka Trixi) in our family, a beautiful British short hair with big round orange eyes, and considering the massive account of her photos dominating my personal Instagram, I created a dedicated page for Trixi, and this is how it started.

This opened my eyes to an entirely new world of stray cats in the UAE. I started courses about feline nutrition and behavior, and naturally, I embarked on the mission to persuade my Hubby to get a brother for little Trixi. After a year and a half of persistence, we welcomed Lucifer (aka Luci) in our family, a handsome black Dubai Stray.

And so, the journey began. The path ahead remains uncertain, with decisions on the next steps and directions yet to be made. However, one thing is certain—it will be filled with meowish wonders!
